Winter lingers, cold
with gnarly, unfriendly lumps;
I feel old and hunched.
Spring brings joy, rebirth;
Birds sing, leaves unfurl, buds bloom.
Coats, boots,gone: freedom.
Summer days stretch long;
Bicycles roll, grills sizzle,
sunshine makes colors dazzle.
Trees ablaze, breeze crisp.
We roll in crackling piles;
a sensory feast.
