From Stash and Trash (and a little cash)

superfluous piping

unused tumble dryer hose

bit of hardwiring

spare bicycle mudguards

old frisbee

plastic outer ring of a clock (which still works!)

. . . . . . . . . all covered with acrylic and cotton

My inspirational artwork is Frank Stella’s K37 2008.

He is an American painter and printmaker – one of the most well-regarded postwar American painters. Frank has been awarded the National Medal of Arts by President Obama. Recently some of his works were in an exhibition in London and he was interviewed for the Culture Show (BBC). I loved all that I saw, but particularly the colour and fluidity of this piece
